RED GERANIUMS PHOTOGRAPHY
ME
My name is Emily Rachelle. I'm a writer and recent college grad from Indiana. My parents are from Indianapolis and Portland, on the Ohio border. I graduated in 2018 from Taylor University in Upland, in Grant County.

I started photography as a hobby because, honestly, I had nothing better to do and time to kill. I was living in Okinawa, Japan, for a few years as a kid, and my dad "sold" me his old point-and-shoot digital camera when he got a new one. I took several hundred photos of the hibiscuses in our backyard and joined an after school photography club, but I didn't take it seriously or care very much. I was pretty terrible.

Photography re-captured my interest in college. Junior year, I was majoring in journalism, which required a photojournalism foundational course. I was still terrible, but I enjoyed it, so I decided that one day I would have my own real camera.
CAMERA
All the photos on this website were taken on a Canon EOS Rebel T6. I'm still re-learning everything I've forgotten from the only actual class I've taken, so I can't tell you for sure which shutter speeds or aperture settings I used for any given photo. I'm still using the no-flash automatic setting for a lot of shots.
